PRIVATE PROPERTY
Private Property is about the ownership and possession of a person, a space, or land. These are a series of provocative photographs that deals with environmental elements and social conscious statements.
My concern for the beauty of our landscape and clean air revolves around ‘not all construction is good construction’. By looking beyond the surface, we can work towards being mindful and aware of how our behaviour not only affects society’s perception of ourselves but also the mistreatment of our environment.

“Lai tints & treats her erotically-charged figures as though they were irradiated, suggesting fallout and aftermath; the passing of innocence.”
— DNA Gallery, Nick Lawrence
“Subtle and deeply personal, Lai’s works evoke a powerful sense of loss for the natural environment. Her use of high-saturated colors and sensual motifs make this exhibit a ‘must-see’ for photography lovers.”
— The Roosevelt Downtown
